BRUSSELS, BELG.- On Friday, The European Union failed to agree on a $54 Billion package in Financial Aid that Ukraine needs to stay afloat amid the continued Russian aggression, even with Today’s block on aid, The European Union on Thursday to open accession negotiations with War-Torn Ukraine.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban blocked the 50 Billion Euros, $54 billion in European Aid for Ukraine, just hours after the group agreed to formally open membership talks with Ukraine. Leaders meeting in Brussels said they would revisit the issue sometime after the First of The New Year after Orban refused to back additional funding for Ukraine’s Government as it continues to push back Russian Forces from its Territory.
The European Union Leaders are gathering in Brussels for a two-day summit to open membership talks with Ukraine and Moldova. European Union Officials and the other 26 Member States pressured Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban ahead of the summit to lift his objections to taking steps to increase European Union ties with Ukraine as Russia’s Full-Scale Invasion nears the 22-Month Mark.
Both The Talks and The Budget Issue require total unanimity for approval.
Speaking to Hungarian State Radio early Friday, Orban warned he could still “Halt This Process” and acknowledged he is willing to further stall the Multiyear Aid Package to Ukraine to win budget concessions from Brussels.
“This is a bad decision,” Orban said. “Hungary bears no responsibility for this. We can halt this process later on, and if needed we will pull the brakes, and the ultimate decision will be made by The Hungarian Parliament.”
Today’s failure to approve funding for Ukraine comes just Two Days after U.S. House Republicans voted down President Biden’s request for an additional $61 Billion in Financial Aid to Ukraine. Wednesday’s vote comes after Biden has continually refused to close The U.S. Southern Border that some sources have confirmed that there have been more than 13 Million migrants illegally entering the United States since Biden took Office.
