SIX FAMILY MEMBERS ARE FEARED DEAD AFTER A HOUSE WAS SET ABLAZE DURING SHOOTING THAT INJURED TWO POLICE OFFICERS

EAST LANSDOWNE, PA.- Delaware County, Pennsylvania Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Wednesday’s Afternoon Shooting that left Two Police Officers wounded from Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds and Six Family Members Feared Dead after the Lewis Avenue Home was set on Fire shortly after Police Officers arrived.
According to Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, just around 3:45 p.m., Members of The East Lansdowne Police Department responded to a report of an 11-Year-Old Child being Shot. Upon arrival, Police Officers were met with Gunfire, and both Police Officers were Struck by Gunshots. One of The Police Officers was Struck in the Arm and The other Officer was Struck in the Leg. Both Officers were transported to a nearby Hospital for Treatment. It is unclear as of Thursday Morning if a Child had Actually been Shot.

Within minutes of The Officers being shot, Smoke and Flames were seen coming from the house, as Gunfire from inside the house continued, hampering Fire Personnel from Suppressing the Fire, but Firefighters were able to extinguish the Fire Late Wednesday Night.
Due to the Damage, it has been too Dangerous for investigators to enter or search the home. However, the search for the bodies of the family and evidence is expected to commence sometime Thursday Afternoon.
