LAS VEGAS, NV.- Former President Donald Trump dominated Nevada’s Republican Presidential Caucuses yesterday. Although Trump was the only Major Candidate on the ticket, Thursday’s Victory edges Trump closer to securing The Republican Nomination. Last night’s caucuses will make this the third straight win for the Former President.
Trump won 25 of the 26 Nevada Delegates. Trump will need to secure 1,215 Delegates to formally secure The Republican Party’s Nomination, and he might be able to reach that number by March.
From Nevada, The Gop Primary Race will move forward to The South Carolina Primary, home to Nkki Haley, Trump’s last major rival in the race. Trump remains popular in the conservative state but Haley who won Two Elections as South Carolina’s Governor, is banking on her local roots in giving her the edge.
Former President Trump delivered a victory speech in Las Vegas last night when basked in the reports of long lines in the State and told his supporters he was eager to declare victory in the upcoming South Carolina Primary.
“We’re leading everybody,” Trump said. “Is there any way we can call the election for next Tuesday? That’s all I want.”
Even with Trump being the Front-Runner, Nevada’s Caucuses were seen as slightly tilted in his favor due to the grassroots support that Caucuses require Candidates to harness throughout the State to win. Nevada’s State Party gave Trump a Greater Edge last year when it barred candidates from running both in The Primary and Caucuses and also restricted Super PACs.
With the February 24, 2024 South Carolina Primary just Two Weeks away, will Trump secure enough votes in Haley’s Home State to make her rethink her run, before it’s off to Michigan on February 27th.
