NEWARK, NJ.- A 29-Year-Old Howell Township, New Jersey man has become The Eighth Victim to be Killed in The Continuing Carnage that is Plaguing the Streets of Newark, New Jersey, after he was Gunned Down last night on South 16th Street in The City of Newark.
According to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, shortly before 9:00 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting on The 900 Block of South 16th Street in The City of Newark.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Tyquane Steed, 29, of Howell Township, New Jersey inside a residence at the location Unresponsive from a Gunshot Wound. Despite Life-Saving Efforts by Police Officers, Mr. Steed succumbed to his injury and was Tragically pronounced Deceased at the scene at 9:13 p.m. last night.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives of The Essex County Homicide Task Force continue to search for the Gunman.
