LINCOLN PARK MAN ORIGINALLY CHARGED WITH INVASION OF PRIVACY NOW FACES CHARGES OF  CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

     “Nicholas Zirpoli, Owner Of Plato’s Closet Clothing Store Now Stands Charged With Manufacturing Child Pornography.”

ROXBURY, NJ.- Today, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported that Nicholas Zirpoli, 35, of Lincoln Park, New Jersey, Owner of Plato’s Closet a Clothing Store in Roxbury Township, New Jersey has been Additionally Charged with Manufacturing of Child Pornography. Mr. Zirpoli was Previously Charged in December 2023, with Multiple Counts of Invasion of Privacy.

     On or about February 26, 2023, Mr. Zirpoli, who Owns and Operates Plato’s Closet a Retail Clothing Store in Roxbury Township, is Alleged to have Used a Device to Video Record several Male and Female Employees using The Restroom at The Clothing Store and then Destroying Evidence. In December 2023, Mr. Zirpoli was Arrested and Charged.

     The investigation further uncovered that during the period of Late 2022, to The Beginning of 2023, Zirpoli is Alleged to have used a Device to Video Record a Juvenile Female Employee and an Adult Male Employee using The Stores Bathroom at Separate Times.

     Accordingly, Zirpoli now Stands Charged with One Count of First Degree Manufacturing of Child Pornography; One Count of Filming a Child in a Prohibited Sexual Act; One Count of Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography; One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Ten Counts of Third Degree Invasion of Privacy; and One Count of Fourth Degree Tampering with Evidence.

     Zirpoli was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Morris County Correctional Facility. On February 8, 2024, following a Hearing in Morris County Superior Court, Mr. Zirpoli was Released on Pre-Trial Monitoring pending Future Court Proceedings.
