UPDATE: Two Men Charged In Kansas City Victory Parade Shooting

TWO ADULT MEN HAVE BEEN CHARGED IN LAST WEEK’S DEADLY KANSAS CITY VICTORY PARADE SHOOTING

     “The Ongoing Investigation Has Led To Dominic M. Miller, 18, & Lyndell Mays, 22, Both Hospitalized Being Charged With Murder & Weapons Offenses.”

KANSAS CITY, MO.- Two Adult Men Stand Charged in Last Week’s  Deadly Kansas City Chiefs Victory Parade Shooting that Claimed the Life of a 43-Year-Old Mother of Two and Left 22 Others Injured, including Nine Children suffering from Gunshot Wounds.

     Dominic M. Miller, 18, of Kansas City, of Kansas City, and Lyndell Mays, 22, of Raytown have both been Charged with Second Degree Murder; Two Counts of Armed Criminal Action; and The Unlawful Use of a Firearm. Both Men are being Detained on $1 Million Bail.

     During a news briefing, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker told reporters, “We seek to hold every shooter accountable for their actions on that day. Every single one.” More people are likely to be charged, Prosecutor Baker added.

     Authorities believe Mays was in a verbal argument with another individual with whom he had no connection. The argument quickly escalated at which time Mays drew a handgun, Baker added. Miller then drew his handgun. He is believed to have fired the shots that Killed Lisa Lopez-Galvin, a 43-Year-Old Mother of Two and a Local Radio Disc Jockey, who later succumbed to her injuries.

     Both Miller and Mays were Struck by Gunfire and remain hospitalized. The Two are expected to be Taken into Police Custody once they are cleared to be released from the Hospital. 

     During the shooting, a total of Twenty-Three people were shot, with almost half of them being under the age of Sixteen. Lisa Lopez-Galvin was the only person killed when Gunfire Erupted on The West Side of Union Station, causing chaos as Thousands of Kansas City Chiefs fans ran for cover.
