22-YEAR-OLD NEWARK MAN DIES AFTER BEING GUNNED DOWN SATURDAY MORNING IN NEWARK

NEWARK, NJ.- A 22-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man becomes the Ninth Victim to be Killed in the Never-Ending Gun Violence that has continued to Plague The Streets of New Jersey’s Cities.
According to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:47 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 300 Block of South 8th Street in The City of Newark after receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Injured Man at that location.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found the man, later identified as Jaheem Futrell, 22, of Newark, New Jersey, Unresponsive from a Gunshot Wound. Despite Life-Saving Efforts by Responding Police Officers and Emergency Medical Service Personnel, Mr. Futrell succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased 30 minutes later at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue their search for The Gunman.
