Atlantic City Man Indicted In August 2023 Fatal Boating Death

54-YEAR-OLD MAN INDICTED IN BOATING DEATH THAT KILLED A 70-YEAR-OLD ATLANTIC CITY WOMAN

     “Jeffery M. Jastrzembski Was Indicted On Tuesday On A Charge Of Aggravated Manslaughter For Operating A Boat Drunk That Killed Norma Michaels.”

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported, that on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, a Grand Jury sitting in Atlantic County New Jersey returned an Indictment Charging Jeffery M. Jastrzembski with First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter in connection with a Fatal Boat Crash that occurred on August 12, 2023.

     According to The Prosecutor’s Office, on August 12, 2023, shortly before 5:15 p.m., Members of The Atlantic City Police Department responded to The Intercostal Waterway near The Albany Street Bridge in Atlantic City after receiving a report that a woman had been Struck by a Boat.

     An Enusing Investigation by The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Crash Investigation Unit and The New Jersey State Police, Alleged that Jeffery M. Jastrzembski, 54, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, was Operating a Boat toward The Albany Street Bridge when he accelerated The Boat and made an Aggressive Turn Port-Side at The Docks Striking Norma Michaels, 70, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, with The Boats Propeller, Killing Her as she Swam in The Water.

     The Follow-up Investigation by Authorities determined that Jastrzembski had a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 0.19% and 0.23% at The Time he Struck Ms. Michaels with his Boat.

“The Rules Of The Court Requires Us To Include A Statement, That States: The Charges Outlined In This Publication Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt.”
