One Dead, Two Hospitalized In Jersey City Triple Shooting

 SUNDAY NIGHT JERSEY CITY SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

     “Hudson County Authorities Are Continuing Their Investigation Into The Circumstances Surrounding Last Night’s Shooting Homicide.”

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- The Hudson County Homicide Unit and The Jersey City Police Department are continuing the investigation into Sunday Night’s Shooting that left a 25-Year-Old Jersey City man Dead and left another man and a woman Hospitalized from Gunshot Wounds.

     According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, just around 9:00 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting Shots Fired in the area of Central Avenue and Bowers Street in Jersey City.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Victims suffering from Gunshot Wounds. The man, later identified as Freddie Posey, 25, of Jersey City, New Jersey was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased shortly after 9:30 p.m. A 30-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey woman was also immediately transported to The Medical Center where she was treated for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound.

     While on the scene, Police Officers were notified that a Third Victim, a 24-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey man had arrived at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
