MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SHOT DURING A RAMADAN CELEBRATION IN THE PARKSIDE SECTION OF PHILADELPHIA

PHILADELPHIA, PA.- There is a massive Police Presence after Gunfire Erupted in The Parkside Section of Philadelphia. Unconfirmed reports say that Three People were shot and Two of them are being treated, as in Police Custody. A local source said that Five People are in Custody and Multiple Weapons have been recovered.

     Shots rang out in an area where Hundreds of Residents including Children were Celebrating Eid al-Fitr, the end of The Holy Month of Ramadan. The circumstances surrounding The shooting are not known at this time.

      On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., Police Officers while on detail at a Park in The Parkside Section of West Philadelphia heard over Thirty Gunshot Rounds being Fired between Two Groups of Individuals during The End of Ramadan Celebration, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel reported. 

      Eid al-Fitr is a Meal that comes as The Holy Month of Ramadan comes to a close. Eid marks the end of Ramadan, a month when devout Muslims Fast Daily from Dawn to Sunset. Eid al-Fitr means the Feast, or Festival, of Breaking the Fast. The Holiday is with Congregational Prayers and Festivities, which typically include family visits, gatherings, and new clothes.
