WOMAN TRAGICALLY DIES FROM INJURIES AFTER BEING STRUCK BY A CAR WHILE CROSSING STREET

     “58-Year-Old Passaic Woman Succumbs From Injuries Yesterday Afternoon In Wednesday Night’s Hit & Run Collision.”

PASSAIC, NJ.- On Friday, April 12, 2024, a 58-Year-Old Passaic, New Jersey woman tragically succumbs to injuries she sustained in a Wednesday Late-Night Hit and Run while she was crossing a Passaic, New Jersey Street.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, shortly after 11:00 p.m., Members of The Passaic Police Department responded to The Intersection of Passaic and Aycrigg Avenues in The City of Passaic after receiving a 911 Emergency Call Reporting that a Pedestrian was Struck by a Motor Vehicle.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman, identified as Rachel McNeil, 58, of Passaic, New Jersey in the Roadway suffering from Serious Injuries. Ms. McNeil was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where she was Admitted in Critical but Stable Condition. Sadly, on Friday, April 12, 2024, Ms. McNeil succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after 12:00 p.m.

     The initial investigation by Police Officers determined that while Ms. McNeil was Crossing the Intersection of Passaic Avenue and Aycrigg Avenue she was Struck by a Motor Vehicle that Fled the Scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing as Passaic County Authorities continue their Search for the Vehicle and Driver that Struck and Killed Ms. McNeil.
