Body Discovered Following A Fire In A Paterson Residence

PASSAIC COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE CONTINUING TO INVESTIGATE A BODY THAT WAS FOUND LATE LAST NIGHT

     “Passaic County Officials Are Continuing Their Investigation Of A Body Of A Man That Was Found Late Sunday Night Following A House Fire.”

PATERSON, NJ.- The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and The Paterson Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Death of a man, whose body was discovered by Firefighters inside the basement of a Paterson, New Jersey residence.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at approximately 11:58 p.m., Members of The Paterson Fire Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call Reporting a Working House Fire located at 465 Hamilton Avenue in The City of Paterson.

     Upon arrival, Firefighters found a Fully Involved Structure Fire. During Fire Suppression, Firefighters discovered the Body of a Deceased Man in the Basement of The Home.

     Members of The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and The Paterson Police Department were notified of The Discovery. The Investigation remains active and ongoing. The Identity of The Man is pending an investigation by The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
