CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ.- Following an investigation into Child Sexual Abuse Material, a 20-year-old Cape May Court House, New Jersey man was taken into custody last Friday and charged with the Manufacturing, Distribution, and Possession of Child Pornography.

According to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland, the investigation began with a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that uncovered an individual, later identified as Xavier Figueroa, Jr., 20, who shared videos of naked and or sexually explicit children through the social media platform “X” (formerly Twitter).

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, a court-authorized search warrant was executed by Local, State, and Federal Authorities on the residence of Figueroa, Jr. Following a forensic analysis of items seized during the execution of the search warrant, Detectives determined that Figueroa, Jr., manufactured, distributed, and possessed child pornography.

Accordingly, on Friday, April 26, 2024, Figueroa, Jr. was taken into custody and formally charged with second-degree Manufacturing of Child Pornography; second-degree Distributing Child Pornography; and third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.

Following being processed on the charges, Figueroa was remanded to the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending future court proceedings in Cape May County Superior Court.
