45-Year-Old Rochelle Park Man Charged With The Past Multiple Sexual Assaults Of A Preteen

ROCHELLE PARK, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported, that on Friday, May 10, 2024, a 45-year-old Rochelle Park, New Jersey man was taken into custody and charged with the alleged multiple sexual assaults of a preteen.

     According to the Prosecutor’s Office, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Officials from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged abuse of a juvenile that occurred in the past.

     An investigation was launched into the allegation and after interviewing witnesses including the child victim, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Rochelle Police Department quickly determined that Milton Gullapa-Guaman, 45, of Rochelle Park, New Jersey, physically abused the child under the age of 13 in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. During the investigation, Detectives learned when another child came forward and reported that they had been sexually assaulted by Gullapa-Guaman in the past. Further investigation determined that Gullapa-Guaman sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 in Rochelle Park, New Jersey on numerous occasions.

     Accordingly, on Friday, May 10, 2024, Gullapa-Guaman was taken into custody and formally charged with two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. 

     Gullapa-Guaman was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

“The rules of the court requires us to include a statement, that states: the charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.”
