33-Year-Old Hackensack Man Charged With Child Endangerment And Sexual Contact For Touching Sleeping Child

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported, that following an investigation a 33-year-old Hackensack, New Jersey man was taken into custody and charged with inappropriately touching a child while she slept at a family member’s home.
On Sunday, May 12, 2024, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after members of the Police Department received a report regarding the alleged sexual contact of a child, that was reported to have occurred while the child was visiting family members.
An investigation was launched into the allegation. Following the investigation, Detectives determined that Diego Buri-Mora, 33, of Hackensack, New Jersey, had inappropriately touched the child while the child was sleeping in a family member’s home.
Accordingly, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Buri-Mora was arrested at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and was formally charged with one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact.
Buri-Mora was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
