Sunday Night Shooting In Trenton Has Left An 18-Year-Old Dead & Another Hospitalized From Gunshot Wounds

TRENTON, NJ.- Gunfire erupted late Sunday afternoon in New Jersey’s Capital City claiming the life of an 18-year-old Trenton, New Jersey man dead and another 18-year-old hospitalized in stable condition from multiple gunshot wounds as gun violence continues to plague the streets of Trenton.
According to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, shortly before 6:00 p.m., members of the Trenton Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter Activation for multiple shots and multiple 911-Emergency Call reporting two men shot shot in the area of 2 Kingsbury Square in the City of Trenton.
Upon arrival, Police Officers, Fire, and Emergency Services Personnel found two 18-year-old men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both men were immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. One of the men, Stephon Fisher, 18, of Trenton, New Jersey, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the Medical Center.
The second victim, an 18-year-old Trenton, New Jersey man, sustained three gunshot wounds and remains hospitalized in stable condition.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
