34-Year-Old Englewood Man Charged With Exposing & Performing A Sex Act On Himself In Front Of A Child In Public

ENGLEWOOD, NJ.- A 34-year-old Englewood, New Jersey man was taken into custody on Friday and charged in connection with performing a sexual act upon himself in public in front of a preteen child in Englewood, New Jersey.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, May 24, 2024, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after receiving a report that a man had allegedly exposed himself and masturbated in public in the presence of a child under the age of thirteen, and an investigation was launched.

     Following a swift-moving investigation, Detectives were able to identify Dawid Iwaszek, 34, of Englewood, New Jersey as the perpetrator. 

     Accordingly, on Friday, May 24, 2024, Iwaszek was located and taken into custody in Englewood and was formally charged with second-degree Criminal Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact; third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and fourth-degree Lewdness.

     Following being processed on the charges, Iwasek was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
