MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported that on Thursday, May 30, 2024, Andrew Osborne, 35, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and Pleaded Guilty to first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter for the stabbing death of Brian Wilkinson, 47, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

In return for the guilty plea, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Osborne when sentenced on August 22, 2024, will be sentenced to a term of 25 years in New Jersey State Prison on the charge.

The guilty plea stems from an incident that occurred on September 23, 2022, inside a hotel room at the Ocean Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Osborne admitted that he entered Mr. Wilkinson’s hotel room and stabbed him to death. Following the stabbing Osborne fled with his wife back to Philadelphia where Detectives from the Atlantic County Major Crimes Unit with assistance from the Philadelphia Police Department located Osborne and arrested him.

Following being extradited back to New Jersey, Osborne was formally charged. Atlantic County Assistant Assistant Prosecutor Elizabeth White represents the State in this case.
