28-Year-Old Man Remains Hospitalized After Being Struck Early Saturday Morning In Guttenberg Hit & Run

GUTTENBERG, NJ.- A 28-year-old man remains in Jersey City Medical Center after he was struck by a motor vehicle that fled the scene early Saturday morning in Guttenberg, New Jersey.

     According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, shortly after 2:10 p.m., members of the Guttenberg Police Department responded to the area of Park Avenue and 70th Street in Guttenberg after receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting a pedestrian who had been struck by a motor vehicle that fled the scene.

     Upon arrival, Police officers found a 28-year-old man in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries. The man was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

     The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Guttenberg Police Department continues their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision.
