A Thursday Night Paterson Shooting Has Left A 17-Year-Old Juvenile Hospitalized

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred last night in Paterson after a teen arrived at a Paterson, New Jersey hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Thursday, June 13, 2024, shortly before 9:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center following receiving a report from medical staff that a 17-year-old juvenile had arrived seeking treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

     After arriving at the medical center and following interviewing the teen victim, Police Officers determined that the teen had been shot in the area of 10th Avenue and East 26th Street in the City of Paterson. Police Officers were able to find evidence of a crime scene at the location.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as authorities continue their search for the gunman.
