Saturday Afternoon Paterson Shooting Leaves 56-Year-Old Paterson Man Hospitalized

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding yesterday’s afternoon shooting that has left a 56-year-old Paterson man hospitalized after he was struck by gunfire on a Paterson Street.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, June 15, 2024, shortly after 3:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of 10th Avenue and East 23rd Street in the City of Paterson.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 56-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man, who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The man’s condition is unknown at this time. Investigating Officers were able to identify a crime scene at that location.

     No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing as Detectives continue their search for the gunman.
