LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ.- On Monday, June 17, 2024, Marc Manfredonia, 33, of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and entered a guilty plea to Robbery before the Honorable Guy P. Ryan, J.S.C., in connection with a robbery shooting that occurred on September 9, 2023.

Sentencing in the matter has been scheduled for August 9, 2024, at which time the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office will be recommending that Manfredonia be sentenced to a term of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act which will require Manfredonia to serve 85% of his custodial sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on September 9, 2023, just around 4:30 a.m., members of the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to a home located on East Hudson Drive in the township following receiving a report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 36-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was immediately transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment of his wounds and was subsequently released.

An investigation by Ocean County law enforcement determined that in the early morning hours of September 9, 2023, the male victim visited Manfredonia and Christopher Miller, 36, of Paterson, New Jersey, both of whom the victim was acquainted with, at the East Hudson Drive home where they were staying.

A short time later, Miller and Manfredonia physically forced the victim out of the residence and demanded money from him. Miller pulled out a handgun and informed the victim that he would shoot him if he did not transfer money through a mobile cash app. The victim then transferred money to both Miller and Manfredonia through the cash app.

Miller and Manfredonia then demanded more money from the victim. When the victim refused, a physical altercation ensued. Miller then fired four gunshots, striking the victim in the leg, groin, and ear.

The two, Miller and Manfredonia then continued to physically assault the victim before retreating back inside the home. The victim then ran to a nearby home and called Police.

Miller and Manfredonia were taken into custody, without incident and charged. Following being processed on the charges both were transported to the Ocean County Jail, where they were subsequently released pending future court proceedings in Ocean County Superior Court.

The charges against Miller for Attempted Murder; Robbery; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, remain pending and will be scheduled for trial.
