Two co-defendants who participated in the crime have pleaded guilty to charges and are awaiting sentencing.

The charges stem from an investigation that unfolded on May 8, 2020, when authorities uncovered that Ali, along with Asia Boone and Anthony Sermond-Guyton lured Samer Alhalayqa, 31, of Camden, New Jersey to the Fairfield Inn & Suites located on Century Parkway in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
