Suspect In Thursday Morning’s Shooting Incident In Independence Township Has Been Apprehended

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ.- An unidentified suspect in a Thursday morning shooting incident in Independence Township, New Jersey, has been apprehended in Pennsylvania at 11:30 a.m., after evading law enforcement for just over 3 hours.

     According to Warren County Acting Chief Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Brotzman, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, just shortly after 8:15 a.m., members of the Independence Township Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on Alphano Road in the Township.

     Following the initial response, the New Jersey State Police and Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Detectives responded to the scene. 

     The suspect fled the scene following the shooting and has since been taken into custody. There was no information provided regarding charges or the nature of the shooting.
