WILLINGBORO, NJ.- Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported on Tuesday, following an investigation by Detectives of the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit, a 55-year-old Willingboro, New Jersey man was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
Arthur Pitt, 55, was taken into custody at his Willingboro, New Jersey, residence without incident on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Following his first appearance in Burlington County Superior Court in Mount Holly, New Jersey, Pitt was released on pretrial bail conditions pending future court proceedings.
The charges stem from an investigation that unfolded when Detectives of the Burlington County High-Tech Crimes Unit received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Pitt’s alleged online internet activities.
During the execution of a court-authorized search warrant on Pitt’s home, Detectives uncovered that he was in possession of more than 1000 digital images and videos depicting nude and or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.
Further investigation revealed that Pitt had utilized an online cloud storage application to store the child sexual abuse material.
