Passaic Police Officers Search For The Gunman That Open Fire In A Residential Neighborhood Thursday Night

PASSAIC, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are actively searching for the gunman who opened fire early Thursday evening in a quiet Passaic, New Jersey residential neighborhood, missing his intended target.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at approximately 7:16 p.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to 911 Emergency Calls reporting shots being fired near the intersection of High Street and Lafayette Avenue in the City of Passaic.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a shooting crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. During the initial investigation and after interviewing area residents, Detectives determined that no one was injured in the shooting.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time as Police continue to search for the gunman.
