32-Year-Old Tennessee Man Extradited Back To New Jersey To Face Charges For Sexually Assaulting A Young Girl

DOVER, NJ.- On Thursday, July 18, 2024, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported that following an investigation, Rony Oviedo-Buezo, 32, of Nashville, Tennessee, has been formally charged in connection with the alleged sexual assaults of a young girl in Dover, New Jersey.
Oviedo-Buezo is charged with two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; one count of second-degree Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault; one found of second-degree Sexual Assault; second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Sexual Conduct; second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Child Abuse or Neglect.
Authorities alleged that Oviedo-Buezo performed sexual acts with a young girl on multiple occasions in Dover, New Jersey.
Oviedo-Buezo was taken into custody in Nashville, Tennessee, and has been extradited back to New Jersey, and remains detained in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending trial.
