Investigation Continues Into The Death Of A 55-Year-Old Woman Who Was Found Dead In Her Bathroom

HARRINGTON PARK, NJ.- The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Harrington Park Police Department are continuing the investigation into what appears to be an accidental death of a 55-year-old woman who was found dead Saturday afternoon inside the bathroom of her Harrington Park home.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, shortly after 3:30 p.m., members of the Harrington Park Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an unresponsive woman inside the bathroom of her Harrington Park home.

Upon arrival, Police Officers and First Responders found 55-year-old Rachel Minaya, the wife of former Yankees General Manager Omar Minaya, unconscious inside the bathroom of their home. First Responders performed life-saving-measures and transported Ms. Minaya to Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, New Jersey, where she was sadly pronounced deceased an hour later.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Ms. Minaya’s death does not to be suspicious in nature. The ruling on the cause and manner of death are pending the final determination of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
