46-Year-Old Vineland Man Sentenced To State Prison For The April 2024 Stabbing Burglary

VINELAND, NJ.- On Friday, July 26, 2024, Willie L. Sease, 46, of Vineland, New Jersey, appeared in Burlington County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Cristen P. D’Arrigo to a term of 4 years in New Jersey State Prison in connection with an April 2024 stabbing and burglary.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on April 9, 2024, Sease, following an apparent domestic verbal dispute with an unidentified victim, Sease forcibly entered the victim’s residence without permission, pulled out a pocket knife, and with malice intent, stabbed the victim several times, causing bodily injury to the victim.
Following the incident, members of the Vineland Police Department arrested Sease and formally charged him with third-degree Aggravated Assault; third-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; fourth-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Burglary. After being processed on the charges, Sease was remanded into custody.
On June 13, 2024, following negotiations with Burlington County Assistant Prosecutor Andrew Simmons, Sease agreed to and pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree Aggravated Assault and was sentenced yesterday in Burlington County Superior Court. He will be transferred to the New Jersey State Department of Corrections to begin serving his sentence.
