Hudson County Authorities Actively Searching For The Man Who Sexually Assaulted A Woman Early Saturday

WEST NEW YORK, NJ.- Detectives of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department are continuing the search for a man who attacked and sexually assaulted a woman early Saturday morning in West New York.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, a 40-year-old woman reported that on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at around 1:30 a.m., she encountered an unknown man near the intersection of Hudson Avenue and 51st in West New York.

The woman further reported that during the encounter, the man grabbed her hair and forcibly sexually assaulted her. The man then fled the area in an unknown direction.
No arrests have been made at this time. The sexual assault is actively being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department.
