34-Year-Old Philadelphia Man Charged For Shooting 2 Women In The Head, Killing One & Injuring The Other

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- A 34-year-old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man and two Philadelphia, Pennsylvania brothers have been taken into custody and charged in connection with an early Thursday morning Atlantic City shooting of two women, killing one and leaving the other woman hospitalized in critical condition.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, shortly after 4:30 a.m., members of the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the Atlantic City Boardwalk near 60 Main Avenue in the City following receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting two women severally injured.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered two women in the area of the jetty suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The first woman, identified as Kamille Stewart, 29, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, was conscious, having sustained multiple injuries. Ms. Stewart was immediately transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center for treatment.
The second woman, identified as Carley Elbert, 32, of Sewell, New Jersey, was unresponsive and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The preliminary investigation quickly determined that both women appeared to have been shot in the head. The cause and manner of Ms. Elbert’s death are pending the final determination of the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
A swift-moving investigation by The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department was able to identify three suspects and led Detectives to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, later in the day on Thursday.
Atlantic County authorities, with the assistance of the Philadelphia Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, located and arrested Gregg Page, 34, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Page was formally charged with first-degree Murder; first-degree Attempted Murder; and related Weapons Offenses.
Two other men who were with Page on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, brothers Ryan Schenck, 30, and Ramir Schenck, 27, both also from Philadelphia, were taken into custody and each charged with Hindering Apprehension.
The three men are currently being detained in the Philadelphia City Correctional Facility pending extradition to New Jersey.
