31-Year-Old Camden Man Was Shot Dead Inside His Car Last Night In Camden, New Jersey

CAMDEN, NJ.- Camden County Authorities are continuing their investigation into circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old Camden, New Jersey man, who was found shot to death last night inside his vehicle on Morgan Street in the City of Camden.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 7:49 p.m., members of the Camden County Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation for gunfire in the area of the 800 Block of Morgan Street in the City of Camden.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, identified as Montel Lee, 31, of Camden, New Jersey, inside his vehicle unresponsive from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr.Lee was immediately transported by Police Officers to Cooper University Hospital, where he was tragically pronounced deceased at 8:00 p.m.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as Detectives continue their search for the gunman and the motive for the murder of Mr. Lee.
