26-Year-Old Paterson Man Struck By Gunfire Early Last Night On A Paterson, New Jersey Street

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that left a 26-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man hospitalized following being struck by gunfire on a Paterson Street.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, just shortly after 7:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting with injuries in the area of Park Avenue and Carroll Street in the City of Paterson.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered evidence of a shooting crime scene and a 26-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

     The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time, as Detectives are continuing the search for the gunman.
