33-Year-Old Passaic Man Killed In Early Sunday Morning Shooting In Passaic, New Jersey

PASSAIC, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Passaic Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 33-year-old Passaic, New Jersey man, who was gunned down early Sunday morning on 6th Street in the City of Passaic.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, shortly before 3:30 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of 224 6th Street in the City of Passaic following receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting with possible injuries.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 33-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to his chest. The man was immediately transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, where despite life-saving efforts, he tragically succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time as Detectives continue to determine the motive for the shooting death of the man.
