Active Passaic, New Jersey Shooting Investigation

No Injuries Reported In Passaic Saturday Afternoon Shooting

PASSAIC, NJ.- Dectives of the Passaic Police Department are continuing to search for the gunman who opened fire on Saturday afternoon in a Passaic, New Jersey, residential neighborhood.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M.Valdes, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, just minutes before 4:00 p.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded near the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Autumn Street in the City of Passaic, following receiving 911 Emergency Calls reporting shots fired in the neighborhood.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene. Following a search of the area and a check of local hospitals, Police Officers determined that no one was struck by gunfire or injured in the shooting.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing.
