LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ.- Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer reported, on Friday, August 9, 2024, Marc Manfredonia, 33, of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Guy P. Ryan, to ten years in New Jersey State Prison subject to the No Early Relace Act, which will require Manfredonia to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole.

Manfredonia had previously entered a guilty plea before Judge Ryan to Robbery in Ocean County Superior Court.

The guilty plea and sentence stem from an investigation that began on September 9, 2023, when, at just around 4:30 a.m., members of the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to a residence located on East Hudson Drive in the Township following receiving a report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, Police Officers encountered a 36-year-old man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The man was immediately transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment and was subsequently released.

The ensuing investigation by Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit determined that the man went to visit Manfredonia and Christopher Miller, 36, of Paterson, New Jersey at the East Hudson Drive residence where the two were staying.

A short time later, Miller and Manfredonia physically forced the man out of the residence and demanded money from him. Miller pulled out a handgun and informed the man if he did not transfer money through a mobile cash application, he would shoot him.

The man complied and transferred the money to Miller. Miller and Manfredonia then demanded more money from the man. The man refused, and a physical altercation ensued. Miller then fired four shots at the man, hitting him in the leg, groin, and ear. After shooting the man, Miller and Manfredonia continued to physically assault him before the two ran back into the residence. The man then ran to a nearby home and called police.

Miller and Manfredonia were taken into custody without incident at the East Hudson Drive residence and formally charged. The two were transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released on bail monitoring conditions.

The charges filed against Miller for Attempted Murder; Robbery; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, remain pending.
