Passaic Teen Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Thursday Night In The City Of Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that left a Passaic teen hospitalized after gunfire erupted Thursday night in the City of Passaic.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Thursday, August 15, 2024, shortly after 11:45 p.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of Monroe and Grove Streets in the City of Passaic.
Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene but were unable to find a victim. While on scene, Police Officers were notified that a Passaic teen had been transported to Westside Firehouse and then transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue to search for a suspect.
