Two Allentown, Pennsylvania Men Charged For Last Saturday Morning’s Gunpoint Robbery At Branchville Motel

BRANCHVILLE, NJ.- On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, two Pennsylvania men were apprehended in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and charged in connection with the gunpoint robbery of guests inside a room at the Cobmin Ridge Motel in Branchville, New Jersey.
According to Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray, On Saturday, August 10, 2024, at just around 5:30 a.m., three masked men forced their way into a room at the Cobmin Ridge Motel, located on Route 206 in Branchville and robbed the occupants inside the room at gunpoint.
The victims of the robbery reported the incident to the New Jersey State Police later in the day.
Suspects Quickly Identified
Detectives of the New Jersey State Police and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office swiftly investigated and identified two of the three suspects as Vincent Cruz, 34, and Osnil Valdez, 32, both from Allentown, Pennsylvania.
On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, Detectives of the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police, Sussex Station, traveled to Allentown, Pennsylvania, and with the assistance of members of the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and the Allentown Police Department apprehended Cruz and Valdez without incident in Allentown.
Cruz and Valdez have been both charged with Armed Robbery and Weapon-related offenses. Both men are currently being detained in the Lehigh County Prison pending extradition to New Jersey.
