ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported that on Thursday, August 22, 2024, Andrew Osborne, 35, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and was sentenced to prison in connection with the September 23, 2022, Atlantic City stabbing death of Brian Wilkinson, 47, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Prison Sentence

Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Bernard E. DeLury sentenced Osborne to 25 years in New Jersey State Prison for the charge of first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter. The sentence is subject to the No Early Release Act, which will require Osborne to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole.

Guilty Plea

On May 30, 2024, Osborne entered a guilty plea on the charge of Aggravated Manslaughter. During his allocation, Osborne admitted to stabbing Mr. Wilkinson to death inside his Ocean Casino hotel room back on September 23, 2022.

After the stabbing death, Osborne fled Atlantic City with his wife back to Philadelphia, where he was later located and taken into custody by Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department with the assistance of the Philadelphia Police Department.

Following Thursday’s sentencing, Osborne will remain detained in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending his transfer to the custody of the New Jersey State Department of Correction to serve his custodial term of incarceration.
