Biden, Harris To Meet U.S. Hostage Negotiating Team On Monday After 6 Hostages Were Brutally Murdered

WASHINGTON, DC.- President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are meeting in the White House Situation Room on Monday with the U.S. hostage negotiating team after the brutal execution of six hostages, including American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, on Saturday at the hands of Hamas terrorists.

White House Reports

The White House reported that the center point of this morning’s meeting is to discuss efforts to drive forward a deal to secure the release of the remaining 101 hostages, including seven Americans still being held by Hamas militants. Today’s discussion comes apparently too little and too late. As the meeting will remain closed to the press.

Following the return of the bodies of the six hostages, hundreds of thousands of protesters flocked to the streets of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and other major cities on Sunday throughout Israel, venting frustration and anger towards Israel’s leadership for failing to put in place a cease-fire deal and freeing the remaining hostages.

Major Israeli media outlets have reported that the crowds of protesters numbered up to 500,000 in major cities. Protesters have demanded Israel’s Prime Benjamin Netanyahu do more to secure the release of the remaining hostages.

As protesters are demanding a cease-fire deal to bring the remaining hostages home, in a report from Reuters, Israel’s leadership has estimated that, most likely, one-third of the remaining hostages are already dead.

Israel’s military officials reported on Sunday that the remains of hostages 40-year-old Carmel Gat, 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 24-year-old Eden Yerushalmi, 32-year-old Alexander Lobanov, 27-year-old Almog Sarusi, and 25-year-old Ori Danino, were recovered from a tunnel under Rafah City in the Southern part of Gaza.

Instead of Biden and Harris rewarding terrorists after they brutally executed hostages with a cease-fire deal. The administration should stop curtailing Israel from eradicating Hamas and step up efforts to prevent Iran from funding and controlling the fighting by Hamas militants.

But whatever deal may be worked out, something that has become even more apparent is that an agreement will become another of the Biden Administration’s failed foreign policies. The fact is that the hostages were taken on October 7th, and they should have been freed shortly after that. Further, Biden should have taken steps immediately after they were taken to secure their release.
