Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Last Night In Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred last night in the City of Paterson, leaving a 21-year-old man, Paterson, hospitalized.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, September 6, 2024, shortly after 9:15 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a man being shot in the area of Carroll and Harrison Streets in the City of Paterson.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 21-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man having sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The man’s condition is unknown at this time.

Initial Investigation

     During the initial investigation, responding Police Officers located evidence of a shooting crime scene and determined the man was shot at that location.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue their search for the shooter.
