ALEXANDRIA, VA.- On Thursday, September 5, 2024, U.S. Attorney Jessica D. Aber reported that Anna Grace Layer, 27, of Bealeton, Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and was sentenced to federal prison for the sexual exploitation of two young children.
On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge Patricia Tolliver Giles sentenced Layer to 40 years in federal prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. Because there is no parole in the federal criminal judicial system, Layer will be required to serve a minimum of 34 years before she is eligible for release.
According to documents filed with the court in 2023 and 2024, Layer produced sexually explicit videos and images of two children, ages six and three, both of whom were family members. Layer then sent the videos to her boyfriend, Davey Jonathan Sisk, 29, of Culpeper, Virginia, who was also charged in the case.
Entered Guilty Plea In May
Layer pled guilty on May 2, 2024, to two counts of Sexually Exploiting a Child. Sisk, Layer’s boyfriend, on July 9, 2024, appeared in U.S. District Court and entered guilty pleas to Attempting to Sexually Exploit a Child; and Receiving Child Pornography. Sisk has been scheduled to be sentenced on October 21, 2024.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child exploitation and abuse.
