Maryland Man Fatally Stabbed Early Monday Morning In Washington DC

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the Metropolitan Police Department are continuing the investigation into the stabbing death of a 70-year-old Upper Marlboro, Maryland, man who was found deceased early Monday morning on a Washington DC street.

     According to authorities, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, shortly after 3:30 a.m., members of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a motor vehicle crash on the 4600 Block of Livingston Road, Southeast.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located an unoccupied vehicle on the sidewalk and a man, later identified as Johnathan Reeves, 70, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, lying in the roadway, having succumbed to multiple stab wounds. Mr. Reeves was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this stabbing death.

     The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
