4 Sentenced To Federal Prison For Drug Trafficking Organization

MARTINSBURG, W.VA.- On Thursday, September 12, 2024, Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kyle Kane and Stephen Warner reported that four people have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in Drug Trafficking that distributed methamphetamine in the Northern District of West Virginia.
Mason And Wilson Sentenced
Terry Lee Mason, Jr., 37, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Gina M. Groh to 324 months in federal prison for the Possession with intent to Distribute 50 Grams or More of Methamphetamine. Robert Joseph Wilson, III, 38, of Hagerstown, Maryland, was sentenced by U.S. Judge Groh to 300 months in federal prison for Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of Five Grams or More of Methamphetamine.
According to documents filed with the court, Mason, also known as “TJ.” and Wilson, also known as “Robbie,” worked together and with others to sell methamphetamine throughout the Berkeley County, West Virginia area.
Sams Sentenced
Brenda Sams, 44, of Petersburg, West Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Thomas S. Kleeh to 70 months in federal prison for the Distribution of Methamphetamine. According to documents filed with the court, Sams sold methamphetamine throughout the Grant County, West Virginia area. Sams also has a prior drug conviction in the Northern District of West Virginia, as well as state drug and theft convictions.
Zirbs Sentenced
Melinda Kay Zirbs, 57, of Elkins, West Virginia, was also sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Kleeh to 56 months in federal prison for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. According to documents filed with the court, Zirbs was under active investigation for narcotics distribution when investigators executed a court-authorized search warrant at Zirbs residence and found methamphetamine and over $20,000 in cash.
