Hudson County Narcotics Task Force Shuts Down Jersey City Drug Operation

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Friday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs Task Force has arrested three people following an investigation of a narcotics distribution operation in Jersey City, New Jersey.
During the investigation, Detectives recovered over 900 grams of cocaine, four pounds of marijuana, other various narcotics, and two handguns.
Newark Man Charged
Accordingly, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Jamaal George, 47, of Newark, New Jersey, was taken into custody and formally charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana; Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana within 1,000 Feet of School Property; Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine within 1,000 Feet of School Property; Possession with Intent to Distribute Psilocybin Mushrooms within 1,000 Feet of School Property; two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana; Possession with Intent to Distribute Psilocybin Mushrooms; Possession of a Weapon While Committing a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons; Possession of Cocaine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of School Property.
Jersey City Woman Charged
Katrina Bullock, 41, of Jersey City, New Jersey, was taken into custody and formally charged with Possession of Cocaine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Psilocybin Mushrooms; Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana within 1,000 Feet of School Property; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of School Property; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Possession of Marijuana; Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms; Possession of Methamphetamine; and Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.
At the conclusion of the investigation, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Detectives of the Hudson County Gangs Task Force executed a court-authorized search warrant at King George Clothing and Accessory Store located at 426 Ocean Avenue in Jersey City, after receiving creditable information that narcotics were allegedly being sold and distributed within the business.
During the search, investigators recovered various suspected narcotics and a firearm within the business. A third individual, a 35-year-old Jersey City, New Jersey woman who was inside the business at the time of the search, was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Marijuana. The woman was released on a summons.
George Additional Charged In Essex County
Essex County law enforcement filed additional charges against George after a subsequent court-authorized search in Newark, New Jersey, uncovered additional narcotics and a handgun.
George and Bullock were processed on the charges and were remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending future court proceedings in Hudson County Superior Court in Jersey City, New Jersey.
