Huntington Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Fentanyl Distribution

HUNTINGTON, W.VA.- On Monday, September 16, 2024, Javonte Dejuan Perry, also known as “Dre,” 33, of Huntington, West Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Robert C. Chambers to 25 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release for Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl.

    According to documents filed with the court, during an ongoing investigation by the Huntington Police Department into the distribution of fentanyl throughout the Huntington, West Virginia area. Perry, on March 30, 2023, during a controlled buy, sold fentanyl to a confidential informant in Huntington.

     U.S. Attorney Will Thompson commended the investigative efforts of the Huntington Police Department for the investigation leading to the arrest and conviction of Perry.
