Monongalia County Woman Pleads Guilty Federal Narcotics Charges

CLARKSBURG, W.VA.- On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Stephanie Ann Allen, 33, of Morgantown, West Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Michael Aloi to Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine; and Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl.

     Judge Aloi accepted Allen’s guilty pleas and has scheduled sentencing for a date to be determined by the U.S. District Court. When sentenced, Allen faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each count. A Federal District Court Judge will ultimately determine the actual length of the term based on the severity of the offenses and Allen’s past criminal history.

     According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley, Law Enforcement Officers observed Allen engaged in suspicious activity while in a parking lot in Morgantown, West Virginia. During a subsequent search of Allen’s vehicle, Officers found 73 grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
