Detectives Actively Investigating Saturday Morning’s Shooting Death

HAZLET, NJ.- Detectives of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Hazlet Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 42-year-old Eatontown taxi driver, who was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds Saturday morning in a Hazlet parking lot.

     According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, members of the Hazlet Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call requesting Emergency Medical Assistance in a parking lot located at 270 Route 36 in Hazlet.

Murder Victim Identified

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Anthony Hill, 42, of Eatontown, New Jersey, deceased on the ground by a dumpster. Mr. Hill had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the suspect.
