Newark Man Hospitalized After Being Shot Friday Morning In Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Passaic Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting of a Newark, New Jersey man, who arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, September 20, 2024, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to St. Mary’s General Hospital after receiving a report that a 24-year-old Newark man had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. The location of the shooting remains under investigation.
