Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Fire Friday Night In Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Paterson Police Department and The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing the search for the suspect who opened fire late Friday night in the City of Paterson that left a 48-year-old Paterson man hospitalized.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, September 20, 2024, just shortly after 11:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting with injuries in the area of West Broadway and Belmont Avenue in the City of Passaic.
Man Hospitalized
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 48-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
During the initial investigation, responding Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location. The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
